Hambro® Goes To School - Again!

Awaiting concrete: Mesh and plywood forms in place at the University of Delaware dormitory.

Swirnow Structures LLC is proud to announce that the Hambro® D500 Composite Floor System has been accepted into the University of Delaware. And thanks to the system's outstanding fire ratings and ease of installation, it's already getting high marks!

Three new Pencader residence halls on Delaware's Laird Campus will utilize approximately 225,000 square feet of Hambro® joists. The North building that will house over 500 students is currently under construction; and the completion of two South buildings is scheduled for August of 2006

"Hambro is very popular with dormitory construction," says John Stahl, Vice President/Sales for Swirnow. "The system has already proven itself a winner with dormitories throughout the mid-Atlantic. With its superior fire ratings and ease of interface with other sub-trades, Hambro® is the logical choice for this type of project."

With construction underway at St. John's College in Annapolis, Bowie State University, the University of Maryland at College Park and Connecticut's Sacred Heart University, Hambro floor joists will be appearing in student housing all along the east coast.
