Horizon at Ridge Hill

Horizon at Ridge Hill is a luxury apartment being built in Yonkers, NY with 130,238-square-feet of Hambro area. This new building utilizes 10-stories of Hambro bearing on structural steel frame over 4-levels of parking and amenity space. Swirnow Structures provided diligent and involved service, with our production department working closely with the GC and structural engineer.

The Sage at Mattison Estate

The Sage at Mattison Estate is a new luxury senior living community in Upper Dublin, PA which will utilize 4-stories of Hambro Joists bearing on light gauge wall panels. The Hambro Structural Floor System was chosen for this project due to the tremendous cost savings achieved in switching to Hambro from the original structural design. Early value engineering budgets were provided by the Swirnow Structures team to help assist the design team and general contractor on this sprawling 7.9-acre community.

Helping Up Mission-Women’s and Children’s Center

Hambro Composite Floor Joists will be utilized in the new women’s and children’s facility in Baltimore, MD from nonprofit Helping Up Mission. With Hambro Joists bearing on prefabricated metal stud wall panels, this 145,000-square-foot, 6-story shelter will provide housing and services for up to 200 women & children in need. Hambro offers a non-combustible structural solution with superior fire and sound ratings. This lightweight system bearing on metal studs over a parking structure can significantly reduce the transfer deck and foundation requirements, equating to big savings. The Swirnow team became involved early on in this project by working on an efficient layout with the design team, and providing upfront conceptual estimating with subcontractor input to Whiting-Turner. This helped ensure real numbers during the early design stage in order to keep the structure on budget.

Circle East

Circle East is a 240,000-square-foot high-rise apartment and retail complex project in Towson, MD. This 8-story redevelopment features Hambro Structural Floors bearing on prefabricated load bearing metal studs over 6-stories of a poured in place parking structure. The combination of Hambro on load bearing metal studs provides a lighter structure that can help reduce the transfer and foundation requirements when building up to 11 stories. The strip and go Hambro forming system bearing on fully sheathed prefabricated wall panels resulted in a faster construction schedule. This allowed the building to be closed in as the structure went up.

575 South

575 South is a new mixed-use luxury condominium building located in King of Prussia, PA. This 4-story building utilizes 88,593-square-feet of Hambro Structural Floors bearing on steel studs. Developer Toll Brothers chose Hambro composite floor joists for its superior fire & sound ratings. Hambro has U.L. Fire Ratings for 1, 2 and 3 hours, with no need for fire dampers, and an STC 57, one of the highest in the industry.
